Collaboration between Tula State University and Universitas Tidar from the city of Magelang in Indonesia was discussed at the meeting on July 5.
Mutual visits continue.
The genuine interest of Indonesian colleagues in the educational and research activities of Tula State University was noted by the rector of the university Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko. The meeting at Tula State University was attended by the vice-rector of Tidar University, Professor Suitno, the vice-rector of Tula State University for international relations & project management  Olesya Evgenievna Labadze, the head of international relations department Daria Dmitrievna Kultygina and the dean of Institute of International Education Olga Dmitrievna Gladkova.

“We have met recently and continue not only to discuss, but to take concrete steps in the implementation of our cooperation agreement signed in 2022,” the rector said, addressing Professor Suitno. – Tula State University is a serious platform for training specialists for foreign countries. We have 59 students from four countries in Southeast Asia. Good relations between Moscow and Jakarta have been established at the level of the governments of the two states; we consider Indonesia one of the key partners for the region.

Tula State University is ready to offer Tidar University training specialists in popular areas: chemical production, mechanical engineering, tourism, automotive industry, medicine, linguistics. Moreover, this can be either education in basic educational programs or short-term training for students and staff of an Indonesian university, emphasized O.A. Kravchenko.

As a result of the discussion, it was decided, together with the administration of Universitas Tidar, to determine a pilot educational program that can be implemented jointly by both universities. Professor Suitno conveyed warm words on behalf of the rector of Universitas Tidar  and noted the increasing mutual understanding of the youth of both countries and the cultures of Russia and Indonesia. This, he said, helps to establish even warmer ties between states and contributes to their development.

Vice-Rector of Tula State University O.E. Labadze presented information about the university and its current capabilities, in concern with  the framework of international cooperation. An agreement was reached on the next visit of representatives of the Tula university to Universitas Tidar.
Professor Suitno visited the BioChemTech Center of Tula State University, where he saw with the work of youth laboratories. He also talked with participants in the summer course program “Strengthening global ties through cultural exchange”, which will be held at Universitas Tidar. Rector O.A.
