On January 22, 2025, the Institute for Advanced Training and Vocational Retraining of Education Workers gathered under its roof teachers and heads of educational organisations of the region, representatives of the parental community and trade union community for the participation in a regional strategic session to develop proposals for the Education Development Strategy for the period up to 2036 with a perspective up to 2040. 

Olga Dmitriyevna Gladkova, Director of the Institute of International Education of TulSU, took part in the strategic session. 

During the plenary meeting, addressing the participants of the strategic session, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Tula region Olga Petrovna Gremyakova emphasised the exceptional importance of this work: “The education strategy being developed is an important, system-forming document that will create new modern approaches for the upbringing of the younger generations, as well as it will bring education to a new level”. 

Oksana Aleksandrovna Ostashko, Minister of Education of the Tula Region, set important semantic accents in her welcoming speech to the participants of the strategic session:

“Today it is important for us to work out specific results for all the challenges the education system is facing and the way of measuring these results. We have formed 14 regional working groups that include experts and specialists from different areas of education from pre-school to higher education”.   

14 working groups worked at the regional level from 16 to 20 January 2025 on various aspects of the education system to prepare proposals for their further inclusion in the Education Development Strategy for the period up to 2036 and in the perspective up to 2040.

The working group “Export of Education” included representatives of TulSU and TSPU named after L.N. Tolstoy - specialists in the field of international activities and training organisation of foreign citizens and apatrides in Russian universities: Vladimir Nikolayevich Andreyev, Head of the Department of English Philology, TSPU; Olga Dmitriyevna Gladkova, Director of the Institute of International Education, TulSU; Maya Mikhaylovna Katkova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of General Theoretical Disciplines and Russian as a Foreign Language, TulSU; Nelly Aleksandrovna Krasovskaya, Director of the Institute of Russian as a Foreign Language, TSPU, Irina Marselyevna Lagun, Head of the Department of General Theoretical Disciplines and Russian as a Foreign Language TulSU and Belita Valentinovna Cherenkova, Director of the International Education Department, TSPU. 

The group worked under the guidance of Zhanna Yevgenyevna Fomicheva, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Education of Leo Tolstoy State Pedagogical University.

Olga Dmitrievna Gladkova, Director of the Institute of International Education of TulSU was entrusted to defend the proposals formulated by the working group on the export of Russian education at the strategic session on the development of proposals to the Strategy of Education Development for the period up to 2036 with a perspective up to 2040. 

The project of the working group “Export of Education” received a high expert assessment at the strategic session and will be conveyed to the federal level for further consideration.
