The International Scientific and Practical Conference “Medical Devices and Technologies – 2025” was held at Tula State University in mixed format.

The event was organised by the Department of “Devices and Biotechnical Systems” of the V.P. Gryazev Institute of High-Precision Systems. V.P. Gryazev Institute of High-Precision Systems and the Department of Polyclinic Medicine of the Medical Institute with the information support of the Tula Regional Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences named after Hero of Russia N.A. Makarovets, the Public Council of the Tula Region Committee for Science and Innovation and the League of Higher School Teachers.

The conference “Medical Devices and Technologies” has already become a university tradition. It has been held since 2005. This time it was attended by more than 200 authors from 13 cities of Russia, as well as from Australia, Algeria, Vietnam, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The scientific event brought together schoolchildren, students, postgraduates, residents, representatives of the scientific community and medical workers.

The participants were welcomed by the conference chairman, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Acting Director of the V.P. Gryazev Institute of High-Precision Systems, Head of the Department “Devices and Biotechnical Systems”, Advisor of RARAS, Scientific Secretary of the RARAS TRSC named after Hero of Russia N.A. Makarovets Alexey Vyacheslavovich Prokhortsov, co-chairman of the conference, candidate of medical sciences, acting director of the Medical Institute, chief physician of the Medical Clinical Centre of TulSU Roman Vladimirovich Grachyov, co-chairman of the conference, candidate of medical sciences, acting head of the department “Polyclinic Medicine”, doctor of sports medicine of the Tula Regional Centre of Medical Prevention and Rehabilitation named after Y.S. Stechkin Victoria Sergeyevna Sobolenkova, director of the Tula Regional Medical College Alexey Viktorovich Denisov and senior lecturer of the department “Devices and Biotechnical Systems” Nadezhda Dmitrievna Yudakova.

Four reports were delivered at the plenary session.

Anna Andreyevna Naumova, a specialist in educational and methodological work of the department of educational process support of the Educational and Methodological Department, devoted her speech to the recognition of electroencephalographic images of a verbal command. 

Yelena Sergeyevna Belyanskaya, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Devices and Biotechnical Systems, Head of the Internal Education Quality Assessment Section of the Department of Planning and Organisation of the Educational and Methodological Department, shared her experience in preparing students of medical and biotechnical specialties of TulSU for the Internet Olympiads.

Maksim Aleksandrovich Ostanin, Candidate of Pharmacological Sciences, lecturer of the departments of “Polyclinic Medicine” and “Sanitary-Hygienic and Preventive Disciplines” introduced his point of view on the possibilities of a comprehensive approach in the management of wound infection.

Valeria Lvovna Korvyakova, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine, talked about the clinical case of observation of a patient with generalised sarcoidosis.

The participants discussed problems and achievements in the field of clinical medicine, medical devices and technologies, educational technologies in medicine, biomedical and methodological technologies in physical culture, sports and health protection, medical developments for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

The winners' diplomas were awarded to students and postgraduate students of Tula State University, the Federal Scientific and Clinical Centre for Specialised Medical Care and Medical Technologies of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency and Tula Regional Medical College.

As part of the conference, Vyacheslav Alekseyevich Arlyapov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Director and Leading Researcher of the BioChemTech Research Centre, gave schoolchildren a fascinating tour of the laboratories of this structural subdivision. 

Based on the materials of the event, the 12th issue of the international collection of scientific articles ‘Medical Devices and Technologies’ will be published in 2025.

- The conference contributed to the strengthening and expansion of ties between teachers of universities and schools, employees of research organisations, residents and doctors of medical institutions, students and practitioners of the medical and technical industry of the Tula region, other regions and countries, - emphasised Alexey Vyacheslavovich Prokhortsov.
