IIE Open Day: Focus on Engineering

On March 13, Tula State University held an Open Day for international students studying at the Institute of International Education's pre-university engineering and technology programs.

Algeria, Angola, Benin, Vietnam, Indonesia, Jordan, Cameroon, Congo, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, and Equatorial Guinea—the geography of those interested in engineering professions is impressive and there's a reason for this: in today`s world, engineering professions offer broad prospects for young people.

Yuliya Anatolyevna Akhapkina, Head of International Student Recruitment at the Institute of International Education, spoke with the students. Her presentation was translated into French and Arabic by Fekih Sid-Ahmet, a third-year medical student from Algeria, and into English by Victoriya Andreyevna Alyoshina, a senior inspector in the same department.

Tula State University, Yuliya Anatolyevna explained, is one of the largest universities in Central Russia and a leading scientific and educational center in the Tula Region.

Tula State University has a well-developed infrastructure. It includes academic buildings, student dormitories, a fitness and wellness center, swimming pools, “Solnyshko” kindergarten, a medical clinical center, and the “Politekhnik” educational and wellness complex on the banks of the Oka River.
