All-Star Graduation from the Institute of Physical Culture, Sport, and Tourism
Seventy-seven graduates of the Institute of Pedagogy, Physical Culture, Sport, and Tourism at Tula State University received their main higher education diploma on July 8. Twenty of them received diplomas with honors.
Graduates received their bachelor's degrees in Pedagogical Education, Physical Education, Service, and Hotel Management, and their master's degrees in Physical Education and Tourism.
“Today is a crucial event for each of you - you are embarking on your independent adult life," said Andrey Andreyevich Malikov, Tula State University Vice Rector for Financial Affairs, addressing the graduates. “This day is also very exciting for the faculty, as over the past few years they have invested in you the very best of their knowledge and skills. Your confidence and recognition at the national level give you every reason to believe that the future of regional education, sports, and tourism is in good hands.”
Distinguished guests whose professional careers are directly related to the development of sports and tourism in the region came to congratulate the graduates. Among them were Andrey Aleksandrovich Blagodarov, Deputy Minister of Sports of the Tula Region; Artur Askanazovich Matevosyan, Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Tula Administration; Grigory Vladimirovich Mikhailovsky, Deputy Director of the Tula House of Science and Technology and Yevgeny Nikolayevich Kondratovich, General Director of Tula Invest LLC. In their farewell speeches, the guests noted the graduates` high level of preparation and emphasized the importance of their future work in areas so vital to the Tula Region. They congratulated the graduates and presented them with their diplomas.
The institute is particularly proud of its students, who not only mastered the curriculum but also brought glory to the university on national and international stages. This year, there are especially many of them. One such student is Alexandra Gavrilenko. She won the prestigious All-Russian Student Olympiad “I Am a Professional” twice, in 2024 and 2026. She also won the Rosmolodezh.Granty grant competition in 2024, and was awarded a Russian Presidential Scholarship in 2025.
Yelena Allenova, an international master of sports in sambo and a member of the Russian national team, defended the institute's athletic honors at the highest level. She is a silver medalist at the World Championships, a multiple winner and prize winner at national championships, a winner of a World Cup stage, and a champion of the CIS Games.
Anastasia Gomaleyeva is impressive in her scientific activity. She was not only awarded a Russian Government scholarship in 2025 but also regularly won prizes at prestigious scientific forums, including the All-Russian Readings with International Participation “21st Century” and the International Conference “Physical Education: Youth Science and Innovation”, where her paper was recognized as one of the best.
Double success awaited Anastasia Karpovich, who already holds two honors degrees, having completed both her bachelor's and master's degrees with honors. Lilia Sermyagina will be remembered not only for her academic excellence but also for her creative achievements: she became a finalist in the all-Russian photo competition “This is Why I Love Russia” in 2025 and was actively involved in university life, receiving numerous commendations for her contribution to the development of Tula State University's youth policy.
In their acceptance speeches, the students thanked the faculty and university administration for the valuable knowledge they imparted and the sparkle they ignited in their eyes. To everyone's delight, they shared vivid and amusing images of their studies on screen, which have now become history.
