The First Graduating Class of the Student Surgical Society

The first cycle of the unique educational program “Student Surgical Society” was successfully completed at the Tula Regional Clinical Hospital.

The project was launched in November 2025 thanks to the initiative of Ivan Nikolayevich Demchenko, Deputy Chief Physician of the Tula Regional Clinical Hospital, and with the active support of the management of the Tula State University Institute of Medicine, represented by its Director, Roman Vladimirovich Grachyov.

Of the 15 fifth-year students who officially received membership certificates, six finalists advanced to the final defense. All participants received certificates of successful completion of the curriculum.

Students gained practical experience assisting in a real operating room, the skill of tying hundreds of surgical knots, and, of course, personalized certificates from the Tula Regional Clinical Hospital, which will be a valuable addition to their portfolios.

The students already have real-world clinical experience - a solid foundation for their future careers. Ahead of them is their sixth year, state exams, and diplomas, but the foundation of practical knowledge has already been laid.
