Tech entrepreneurs are the real heroes.

The deputy head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, Daria Borisovna Kiryanova, who visited Tula State University on May 12, is convinced of this.

While on a working trip to the Tula Region, the Deputy Minister visited the training ground of the 106th Airborne Division, where she watched demonstration exercises with unmanned aerial vehicles and presented documents on advanced training to students of professional retraining programs for working with drones. Representatives of TSU participated in the training, among other things. The Rector of the University Oleg Alexandrovich Kravchenko took part in the graduation ceremony.

In the BioChemTechCenter of the TSU D.B. Kiryanova visited the laboratory of cognitive technologies and simulation systems. Junior Research Fellow Egor Surkov spoke about the projects that specialists are working on, and Alexei Alekseevich Sychugov, Director of the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science of TSU, spoke about the participation of the university in the Digital Departments federal project as part of the Priority 2030 development program. Currently, almost 130 students have started two preparatory programs, and it is planned to increase the number of programs and scale the number of students.

A school for hackathon moderators has been launched at TSU. Developer competitions under the TulaHack brand have been held at the university for several years, during which time the organizers and volunteers have gained considerable experience, which they are happy to share with young people so that the events become even more intense and professional. Daria Borisovna Kiryanova told the students about phygital games, an unusual combined format that combines physical activity and computer games. She noted the importance of forming a professional community of players and developers, to which she proposed to join the students of TSU. Rector O.A. Kravchenko instructed A.A. Sychugov to place data about the university and opportunities in the relevant information system.

The Deputy Minister discussed with the children the use of neural networks in life and in the educational process. On the one hand, ChatGPT helps students, and on the other hand, it partially replaces the functions that people used to perform. Is it good or evil? There were different versions. Students noted that GPT technologies are still imperfect and cannot be fully relied upon. The representative of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science expressed the opinion that artificial intelligence technologies should become part of the educational process. They should be studied and put to their service.

During communication with young scientists - technological entrepreneurs, students of the TSU InTech acceleration program talked about their developments and promising projects. In particular, the winner of the Student Startup competition, Lev Safonov, spoke about creating VR/AR products that are of great interest both to the students who develop them and to the users. Foreign students of TSU - Abdulkhalem Mustafa Mohammed Abdulkhalem from Iraq and Mensa Orror Essenam from Benin also reported about their projects. According to the head of the Startup Studio of TSU, Yuri Andreevich Chadayev, foreign students of TSU will be able to participate in the new cycle of the program for training technology entrepreneurs - the acceleration program "International Technological Accelerator" will be launched, part of which is the Dive into Science school and Drone hackathon, in which industrial partners are startup graduates of the 2022 acceleration program.

“Being an entrepreneur is difficult, but a technological entrepreneur is a real hero,” said Daria Borisovna Kiryanova. – I am sure that the projects you are involved in will not go unnoticed. To do this, we are creating acceleration programs at the federal level - so that you are supported at the university, so that you can apply for participation in grants and competitions, such as Startup for a Million.

The students asked the guest of TSU about additional support measures, in particular, benefits for IT specialists, creation of new Boiling Points sites.
