For first-year students - about beauty and morality

On October 24, students of Tula State University talked with a family psychologist about the most important things.

The Tula Diocesan Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God “Unfading Color” was created in 2011 with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexy of Tula and Efremov to provide comprehensive assistance to pregnant women, single mothers and large families in difficult life situations. One of the center’s missions is educational; specialists give lectures in schools, hospitals, and universities. They visited Tula State University several times. At the meetings, the most important life issues are raised, young people’s views on family life, moral issues, and traditional values are discussed.

This time, family psychologist Tatyana Vladimirovna Korepanova spoke with first-year students about beauty and morality. She asked the guys what beauty means to them and how this concept is connected with the human soul. Family values and issues of raising children are among the most important in the life of a Russian person, this is confirmed by numerous regular surveys. If everyone in the family is alive and well, then the person is truly happy.

And, of course, they talked about children. Every person must have a continuation, offspring. But even if for some reason the family does not have a child, the worst thing is to kill him. The problem of abortion is acute in society, noted T.V. Korepanova, abortion is actually legalized murder. The psychologist showed the students a human embryo; it is the one that is “killed” during an abortion, but meanwhile, it is already, albeit very small, just forming, but a living person. The specialist asked the guys to think about it.
