The Alley of Friendship widens

Last weekend, on an unusually warm and sunny autumn day, the friendly international team of the Institute of International Education of TulSU planted trees on the ‘Friendship Alley’ in the Educational and Recreational Complex ‘Polytechnic’ together with Rector Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko and Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Project Management Olesya Yevgenyevna Labadze.
The tradition was born quite recently, on 26 June this year, when students of the Institute of International Education together with the university administration, representatives of the Government of the Tula Region, Tula City Administration and the Russian Engineering Union laid the Friendship Alley in our beloved Polytechnic UOC within the XII International Youth Industrial Forum ‘Engineers of the Future - 2024’.
Continuation of the ‘Friendship Alley’ was given by the vice-rector of the partner University of Tidar (UnTidar) from the twin city of Magelang, Republic of Indonesia - Professor Suitno, who was on a friendly visit to TulSU during the XII International Youth Industrial Forum ‘Engineers of the Future - 2024’. He also carefully planted his tree on the ‘Friendship Alley’ as a sign of development and strengthening of cooperation between TulSU and UnTidar in the field of education, science and culture.
And now in the last warm days of this September international students of TulSU from Belarus, DR Congo, Indonesia, Iran, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Turkmenistan, Uganda and Uzbekistan together with the rector Oleg Kravchenko, vice-rector for international and project activities Olesya Labadze and director of the Institute of International Education Olga Gladkova planted their trees on the ‘Friendship Alley’.
- Hello, Tula! Today, as a representative of Uganda, I was honoured to plant a tree on the Friendship Alley at the Polytechnic UOC,’ said Nalubega Grace Megan, a second-year medical student. - I can't wait for my tree to get bigger and greener! Love and take care of nature!
And then students of the Institute of International Education drank tea and discussed with Olesya Yevgenyevna Labadze, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Project Management, trajectories of personal self-realisation: technological entrepreneurship programmes, grant opportunities of Rosmolodezh and many other things.
