We invite you to get acquainted with the Institute of International Education – the most original, diverse, and multicultural institute of Tula State University, wh ere foreign citizens from different countries of the world have been studying for 60 years. A long time ago, in 1962 first students from Bulgaria arrived to study at the University, and year by year the number of students from different countries of the world has been constantly increasing.
At the moment, citizens of 70 countries of the world are studying at the institute. The majority are from the countries of the Middle East, Africa, Vietnam, as well as the CIS and neighboring countries. The students’ population includes students from European countries (Bulgaria, Portugal, Croatia).
The main language of instruction is Russian, but already in the 2023/2024 academic year, an educational program in Economics will be taught in English.

For candidates who do not speak Russian, the university offers to take the pre-university course of Russian according to five main fields: technical, economic, humanitarian, natural sciences and biomedical ones. To study at the University a candidate should have a B1 level of the Russian language proficiency.
Every international student is provided with the dorm on the territory of the University campus. What is more, the international students have access to the university rich physical facilities: its own sports complex and stadiums, a medical clinical center, two swimming pools, an educational and recreational complex on the Oka River, comfortable dorms and much-much more.
Candidates seeking admissions to programs offered by Tula State University need to apply with the following documents:
- previous education certificate translated into Russian; the translation should be legalized in a proper way (if necessary);
- certificate proving that previous foreign education is recognized by the Russian Federation (if necessary); it is issued by Federal Education and Science Supervisory Service (www.nic.gov.ru);
- passport of the certificate holder translated into Russian; the translation should be legalized in a proper way;
- medical certificate proving negative results on HIV and AIDS;
- vaccinations certificate from medical records;
- 6 photos (3x4 cm).
