Foreign students of TSU at the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum

From April 24 to April 27, the Ural State Economic University hosted the XIII Eurasian Economic Youth Forum "A multipolar world in the focus of a new reality."

It brought together about 11,500 participants from 79 regions of Russia and 107 countries of the world. The forum was attended by 5 foreign students of Tula State University from Tanzania, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Moldova. The participants were accompanied by the Deputy Director of the Institute of International Education for educational work Tamara Dmitrievna Kartashova.

On the first day of the event, USUE hosted a media forum “Media Work in the New Political, Economic and International Reality”, as well as a traditional chess tournament – a 10-board simultaneous game session by the famous Russian grandmaster Rafael Vaganyan.

On April 25, a meeting of ambassadors and consuls of foreign countries and international student youth "Dialogue on equal terms" was organized at USUE. It was attended by 75 diplomats from 43 diplomatic missions from around the world in Russia. The meeting was moderated by Adu Yao Nicaise, Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Association of Foreign Students of Russia.

After the meeting of diplomats with young people at the International Exhibition Center "EKATERINBURG-EXPO", the largest exhibition center in the Urals, a solemn opening ceremony of the Forum and a plenary session were held.

Maria Zakharova, Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, delivered a welcoming speech to the forum participants via videoconference. In her message to the participants, she emphasized that the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum has been proving its exceptional importance for the dynamic promotion of Eurasian economic integration and the active involvement of young people in this process for many years.

Before the opening in the foyer of the exhibition center, an exhibition of objects of culture and everyday life of the peoples of the world was organized as part of the Festival of Cultures "Around the World", and after the opening - a festive concert with the participation of professional groups from Yekaterinburg.

And on the evening of April 26, especially for the participants and guests of the forum at the Yekaterinburg Philharmonic, the Ural Youth Symphony Orchestra gave a concert, in the program of which the works of great Russian and Soviet composers were performed: Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Stravinsky, Artemyev, etc.

— It was a unique event, of great scale and significance. During this short time that we spent in the city, we managed to attend a conference where important issues of the development of science and economics were discussed, a chic gala concert at Yekaterinburg-EXPO left an unforgettable impression and delight from the organization of the event, as well as a concert at the Philharmonic, where live music simply made its way to the depths of the soul and delivered pleasure. In addition, the city itself has many places for entertainment and recreation! — Azam Muminov, a student of TSU from Tajikistan, shared his impressions of the trip.

— I am glad that I got the opportunity to visit the forum, I was able to meet students from other universities, as well as communicate with representatives and diplomats of different countries. I also attended my first ever symphony orchestra concert at the Philharmonic Hall. I liked moving around the city, visiting large shopping centers, parks, visiting the highest skyscraper in Yekaterinburg, from where a beautiful view of the city opened, - added TSU student from Tanzania Moses Hamudu.
