"National Kaleidoscope"

On June 12, the Day of Russia, in the Dobrodey craft yard, foreign students of Tula State University presented Tajik culture at the traditional National Kaleidoscope festival, which was held as part of the XVII Interregional Festival of National Cultures Country in Miniature. In total, representatives of 11 diasporas took part in the holiday: Azerbaijani, Armenian, Vietnamese, Gagauz, Dagestan, Cossack, Chinese, Moldovan, Russian, Tajik and Turkish. On the main stage of the craft yard, representatives of different nationalities showed the choreographic and vocal features of their cultures.

The National Kaleidoscope holiday was opened by Tatyana Rybkina, Minister of Culture of the Tula Region, and Elena Arbekova, Director of the Association of Cultural Development Centers of the Tula Region, President of the Association of Houses (Centers) of Folk Art of the Central Federal District.

- Russia is a huge multinational country, and the Tula region is a region where many different diasporas live. Our Governor Aleksey Gennadyevich Dyumin and the Government of the Tula Region pay great attention to the development of interethnic relations. There are many events on this topic in the region. The National Kaleidoscope is one of them. It symbolizes the cohesion and unity of the multinational Russian people,” the minister stressed. One of the actions held at this holiday - "My House", was that a representative of each diaspora painted a house in his own national style. The ethno-gallery “Portrait of a Nation” enjoyed special attention and interest, which, especially for the holiday, was replenished with new portraits of representatives of the national cultures of the Tula region, who made a special contribution to strengthening unity and harmonizing interethnic relations. From TSU "Portrait of a Nation" was represented by Umedjon Nasredinov, Chairman of the United Council of Community Associations of the Institute of International Education. In the same place, in the craft yard "Dobrodey", the participants and guests of the holiday were able to visit the exhibition of the XIV All-Russian competition of folk craftsmen "Craftsmen's Rus", in which 60 best craftsmen from 27 regions of the country participated. At the traditional exhibition "National Row", objects of arts and crafts and everyday life were demonstrated, and representatives of the diasporas spoke about the traditions, rituals and uniqueness of their cultures of the peoples living in the region.

Umedjon Nasredinov, 4th year student of the Institute of International Education: “For the fourth year I have been participating in the National Kaleidoscope festival, it has already become a good tradition. At any festival, I am also a member of the concert program and try to choose a fun Tajik song. And this year was no exception for me, my performance was to the liking of the audience, which made me very happy.” - For the past 3 years I have been attending the National Kaleidoscope festival. Different national cultures are gathered in one place, and each nation represents its culture in the best possible way. It is especially impressive when you can visit national courtyards, enjoy music and dances, taste dishes of different cultures and feel the atmosphere of unity between peoples, — Takhmina Nasredinova, 4th year student at the Institute of International Education.
