Tula students defend diplomas in the format of startups

On June 20, students of Tula State University presented an interdisciplinary project to the state examination committee, developed as part of the federal program "Startup as a Diploma".

"Startup as a Diploma" is aimed at involving talented students in the development of an ecosystem of technological entrepreneurship, as well as supporting businesses that are at an early stage. The program has been implemented at TSU since 2021. During this period, 15 defenses have already taken place. Among the projects are both social and technological projects - machine vision for industrial enterprises, an automated system for settling students in dormitories, as well as social projects aimed at training volunteers.

Graduates of 2023, Anastasia Kosygina from the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of TSU and Karina Labazhevskaya from the Institute of Law and Management of TSU, developed and implemented the Triad project. This is an educational and communication platform created to involve students from various educational organizations in the field of project activities. During the 2 days of the Triada forum in 2023, 200 foreign and Russian project participants tried on the role of young entrepreneurs, determined the trajectory of their future professional self-development.

The development and implementation of startups as final qualification works are provided for by the Digital Economy program, as well as within the framework of the events of the Decade of Science and Technology.

“On behalf of the Governor Alexei Gennadievich Dyumin, special attention is paid to the development of business initiatives and technology startups in the Tula region. Tula projects are regularly among the winners of federal competitions, which, in turn, makes it possible to contribute to the development of innovative sectors of the economy,” said Anton Pankratov, Deputy Chairman of the Tula Region Committee for Science and Innovation.
