Tula State University Welcomes a New Park

On August 14, a solemn ceremony of opening a new student location between the third and fourth academic buildings took place at Tula State University.
As part of the program "Priority 2030" of the National Project "Science and Universities", certain work is being carried out at our university to improve the campus. So, this park marks the beginning of campus development.
Three versions of its design, made by the graduates of the Design Department (Institute of Mining and Civil Engineering), were put to the vote by university students. One of the options won — everyone liked it for its noble brevity. The mission of this student location is favorably emphasized by the simplicity of the composition. The square is the place where you can relax, think about something of your own, chat with friends.
In his speech, Tula State University rector, Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko, emphasized that the request of students for a new location was heard by him. Moreover, it has been implemented.
By the way, even when he was an acting rector, he met with university students at the regional stage of the All-Russian Educational Forum "Territory of Meanings". And then, the guys voiced their thoughts about the need to create open spaces locations for youth at university.
Oleg Alexandrovich immediately took the wishes of the students on a pencil. Coworking came the first. Now, the park has arrived, where, by the way, not only students, but also teachers and staff can relax.
Tula State University, the rector emphasized, is a second home for everyone. And this second home should be beautiful and comfortable.
Work on laying out the park, he said, began a year and a half ago. In this territory there were outbuildings that lost their operational values. All of them were demolished.
The new park is stylistically united with the landscaped area in front of the third educational building, the facade and roof of which were recently renovated. The building is a historical object and sends us all back to the heroic pages from the history of our city. Here, during the defense of Tula from the Nazi hordes in October-December 1941, the headquarters of the 156th NKVD regiment and the Tula workers' regiment were located. Past and present are inextricably linked...
There are big tasks ahead of everyone, the rector said. He expressed confidence that students and teachers will come up with proposals for the renovation of the campus and submit their interesting ideas.
Oleg Aleksandrovich and the chairman of the primary trade union organization of Tula State University Daria Antonova cut the red ribbon in a solemn atmosphere. The head of the university invited all the participants to take a walk around the new square and take pictures as a keepsake.
The park has no name yet. Voting will be open on the telegram channel of Tula State University. Students and staff of the university can offer their options.
And this is very important! After all, it’s not for nothing that they say, whatever you call a ship, that’s how it will sail. In our case, as you call the park, so it will delight people.
