Such an unforgettable Day of Knowledge

On September 1, Tula State University, as always, celebrated Knowledge Day on a grand scale. The holiday turned out to be bright, interesting, diverse and, very importantly, with a deep semantic load.

It began in a place dear to every Tula resident and resident of our region - Victory Square. A solemn ceremony of initiating freshmen into students of Tula State University took place here.

The first deputy governor of the Tula region, Vyacheslav Andreevich Fedorishchev, warmly greeted the young tribe. All these guys, he said, were very lucky in life, because they went to study at a strong and promising university, which for more than ninety years has been a forge of masters of knowledge, science and production.

Freshmen will have to absorb the knowledge that their teachers will give them. They have a difficult but interesting path ahead. And it is he who will lead them to great victories.

The boys and girls who became students of Tula State University were emphasized in his speech by the Hero of Labor of Russia, General Director of JSC PA Tula Machine-Building Plant named after. Ryabikov” Evgeniy Anatolyevich Dronov, moved from one image to another. Just yesterday they were schoolchildren, and now they are already students.

Student life is a wonderful time. This is knowledge, sports, construction brigade movement, a sense of community.

The guys, said Evgeniy Anatolyevich, chose a difficult, but necessary path for everyone. Gone are the days when the motto was “We’ll buy everything.” The time has come when the motto sounds like this: “And we must do everything!”

And we, relying on knowledge, confidently stated the director of the enterprise, we will definitely develop everything ourselves - new equipment, weapons, and additive technologies. This work is difficult, but doable!

All participants of the solemn event were cordially congratulated by the rector of Tula State University Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko.

“Today is a very important day in the life of each of you,” he addressed the freshmen. — You became students and received the main documents for the coming years. This is a student ID and grade book, in which, I hope, you will have only good and excellent grades. Thank you for choosing Tula State University. I am sure that you will never regret it. The new knowledge acquired at Tula State University will allow you to become real professionals.

The university, continued Oleg Aleksandrovich, successfully fulfilled the admission plan. Only 1,454 people entered the university for budget places. And in total for the first year, taking into account students of the Technical College. S.I. Mosin and foreign students enrolled almost three thousand people.

— Student years are the best! - said the rector. — Tula State University will do everything possible to make it interesting for you guys to study with us. Well, have fun today!

As if by magic, the switch in the time machine turned, and from the distant eighteenth century, all the freshmen were congratulated by Peter I, who founded an arms factory in Tula. The Emperor urged them to diligently comprehend knowledge and accumulate experience in order to become highly qualified specialists.

The freshmen took an oath to properly fulfill their student duty. After this, Peter I presented them with a symbolic student card.

The Anthem of the Russian Federation was played. Participants in the ceremony laid a garland and flowers at the Eternal Flame. At Tula State University we sacredly honor the memory of those who defended our hometown and our great country from the fascist invaders.

On the same day, Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko, Vyacheslav Andreevich Fedorishchev, Evgeny Anatolyevich Dronov and the executive director of the Corporate Clients 360 division of Sberbank PJSC, participant, moderator and speaker of design sessions on AI transformation of regions Maxim Mikhailovich Chachin met with high-scorers and medalists Olympiads entered into Tula State University.

Opening the event, the First Deputy Governor of the Tula Region noted that today within the walls of Tula State University there gathered children whose achievements one can rightfully be proud of. That is why it is very interesting not only to communicate with them, but also to find out their opinions on how to make our region even better.

The distinguished guests and newly minted students had the opportunity to ask each other questions.

Senior comrades, for example, asked why students from Chukotka chose Tula State University. Both girls admitted that they have relatives in Tula. And they really like the city itself, and Tula State University is considered a good university that provides quality education.

Student of the Institute of High-Precision Systems named after. V.P. Gryazev was very concerned about the question of whether the defense-industrial complex would develop successfully after the end of the special military operation.

The defense-industrial complex, Vyacheslav Andreevich Fedorishchev was the first to answer, is the driver of scientific knowledge, and that is why its development not only will not stop, but will become even more intense. Well, if we talk about the Tula defense industry, then it is known all over the world, and it is not going to lose its position.

Evgeny Anatolyevich Dronov, in turn, noted that the defense industry will be in demand many times over. Moreover, the special military operation showed what needs to be worked hard on.

The defense industry, the head of the enterprise continued, is a product not only for military purposes, but also for civilian purposes. And those advanced technologies that are used in the production of special products contribute to increasing the output of civilian products. Tulamashzavod, reported Evgeniy Anatolyevich, has begun its machine tool production, and to date the company has produced the first ten machining centers.

Many questions related to the use of artificial intelligence in various fields of activity were addressed to Maxim Mikhailovich Chachin. The guys were interested in whether AI could replace a person, for example, a primary care physician, teacher or journalist.

Maxim Mikhailovich said that there cannot be a full-fledged replacement. The same teacher is an empath, a mentor, an educator. And artificial intelligence is capable of modernizing some routine aspects of work and helping at the information search stage.

Dmitry Andreevich Litvinov, a member of the Union of Journalists of Russia, correspondent of the Tula State University Public Relations Office, columnist for the Parliamentary Newspaper, who was present at the meeting, joined the discussion. A journalist, he said, works with people, with words. The idea he wants to convey passes through his heart. Artificial intelligence is not capable of this.

The meeting participants discussed issues related to the development and support of youth sports in the Tula region, student exchange, modern education, the university’s participation in the Russian children and youth movement, and the involvement of Tula State University students in various projects.

Our region, said Vyacheslav Andreevich Fedorishchev, really needs the ideas of young people. And it is very important that students bring their passions to the university, develop and promote them.

And Tula State University, added Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko, will always support a good initiative.
