Maslenitsa!
This year
the Polytechnic Faculty's Maslenitsa celebrated its 55-th anniversary. It was pioneered by NadezhdaTimofeyevna Libert, a lecturer at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Technology.
The good tradition, loved by many, continues. However, it has changed its format, acquired the status of a university-wide event and went out into the fresh air.
The Friday of the Maslenitsa week is called "Mother-in-law evenings". On this day mother-in-law came to visit her son-in-law and he fed her with the pancakes baked by his wife.
Time will come, and our students will have wives and mothers-in-law and they will eat delicious pancakes in their glorious company
But today, on March 15-th male and female students, teachers and staff of Tula State University were treated with pancakes by our catering service.
Pancakes, as required by the ritual, were hot off the griddle. Rosy, airy, they were just begging for a mouthful.
They are supposed to be eaten with condensed milk, honey, sea buckthorn jam and black currant jam. Eat them all as many as you want! And an important samovar hung with appetizing bagels drew everyone with fragrant hot tea.
But our Maslenitsa is famous not only for the treats. It is good with its fun and amusements. And the student's club of TulSU was responsible for the creative component of Maslenitsa festivities on this day.
Charming Mother-Winter and Skomorokhs invited the participants to enjoy the food and show their prowess, that is, to participate in competitions. They said it is necessary to call for the sun and warmth. The pancake symbolizes the heavenly luminary for a reason!
And the contests, we must give them credit, were one of a kind - "Valenok", "Pancakes", "Brook", "Finish the proverb", "Round dance".
Throw your valenki further and you`ll bring the spring closer. Have time to listen to the pancake stories and repeat the movements in time. The brook will flow – the warmth will come. If you solve a proverb, you'll learn it. To dance round dances is to wake up the sun brightly.
The guys who took an active part in the contests, received as a prize... Right! A tasty refill! Pancakes were coming and coming, and more and more people wanted to drink tea with them. The bakers did their best - we can say that the plan was overfulfilled.
For the first-year students of the "Software Engineering" training direction of the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science Alina Kholkhalova, Anastasia Melnikova and Anastasia Teterina it is the first, as it is not uneasy to guess, university Maslenitsa. And the celebration, as they admitted, made an impression on them.
- The pancakes are extraordinary! Soft, airy, sweet!- said the students. - Thank you very much for such a kind holiday!
Second-year students of the Institute of International Education Maria Lobede and Mendonsa Solene from the Republic of Guinea, who are training in the specialty "Medical science":
- The pancakes are delicious! We eat them with condensed milk," they said. – We were told about Maslenitsa, so we know about this holiday. It is a good tradition in our university!
Yes, that's what its like,Maslenitsa - kind, cheerful, generous. And of course, uniting people!
