"Study in Russia!"

On 30-31 March,
The 6-th exhibition of Russian education "Study in Russia!" was held on the 30-th – the 31-st of March in the Russian House (Rossotrudnichestvo`s representative office) in Astana, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
More than 50 best Russian universities (both classical and highly specialised) from different parts of our big country - from St. Petersburg to Irkutsk - took part in the exhibition this year.
Olga Gladkova, Director of the Institute of International Education, represented Tula State University at this exhibition for the second time.
During two busy days of the exhibition applicants from Kazakhstan and their parents got acquainted with educational opportunities of Russian universities, studied information booklets of universities and their admission commissions. They also learned a lot about the peculiarities of entrance tests, budget and commercial places and passing scores.
Tula State University provided the information leaflets and videos about itself in two languages - Russian and Kazakh. The applicants actively subscribed to the pages of the Institute of International Education on Telegram and VKontakte. They were interested in the range of educational programs and summer schools, received initial consultations on the package of necessary documents and asked questions about the university, campus and the hero-city of Tula.
The obvious demand for such educational programmes as IT, construction, architecture, management, economics, law, as well as the traditionally large demand for medicine was noted during the two-day communication with applicants at the exhibition site.
"It is very encouraging that year after year more and more Russian universities come and are ready to tell about their activities. It means what they do is in demand. I have already heard from the exhibitors more than once that the guys from Kazakhstan are very motivated: they understand very well what they want, why they want it, what they need it all for," said Olga Filonova, head of the Russian House in Astana.
Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan have the opportunity to enter Tula State University for training at the expense of budgetary appropriations of the federal budget both for places within the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation, and in accordance with international treaties of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan for places, allocated for citizens of the Russian Federation and persons entering on equal rights with citizens of the Russian Federation. In addition, citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan can enter our university under agreements on the provision of paid educational services.
More than 60 thousand Kazakhstani students are currently studying in Russia. This year the Government of the Russian Federation has allocated 700 quotas for the citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan to study at Russian universities.
