With care for young families

On 22 October the Rector of Tula State University Oleg Kravchenko and Vice-Rector for Educational Work Eduard Temnov met with families of undergraduate and postgraduate students with young children.
Getting higher education is a very serious intellectual work. And if you are a family man and bring up a child, the workload, of course, increases considerably. It is understandable that some people are helped by grandparents, but the great responsibility still falls on the shoulders of young parents themselves. And the university's task is to encourage and support them in such a difficult but wonderful period of their lives.
This is what Oleg Alexandrovich and Eduard Sergeevich talked about with family students and postgraduates. The participants of the meeting discussed a variety of issues - from the provision of places in the university kindergarten without waiting lists and assistance of teachers to the living conditions in the dormitory and parking.
On 6 September, Christina and Yan Bocharov, classmates and fourth-year students of the Information Security course at the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, had a daughter, Yeva. The little girl, despite her infant age, also took part in this important meeting and, of course, felt with her tiny heart that it is about the support of young mums and dads like her parents. The care and warm words are always felt even by such babies.
- Yan and I have been together since high school. We got married. And then our Eva was born. Of course, it's a bit hard. My mum and dad and Ian's relatives help us. And teachers try to meet my needs, - Christina shared. - I think that such events for student and postgraduate families with children are very necessary. You can talk about problems, make suggestions, give some interesting idea. And those young couples who want to have children, but are afraid to make such a decisive step, should also know that the university cares about them.
All participants received fruit baskets as a gift. Vitamins are needed now more than ever!
