The main forum of doctors of the region
The traditional interdisciplinary scientific-practical conference ‘Tolstov Autumn’ in 2024 is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Medical Institute of Tula State University. The event opened in Tula on 6 November.
This autumn the conference is being held for the 12th time. It is co-organised by the Ministry of Health of the Tula Region, Tula State University, the Department of Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare) in the Tula Region, the Tula Regional Medical Association and the Central State Medical Academy of the Russian Presidential Administration. In 2024, the region's most representative medical forum is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Tula State University Medical Institute and the 150th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding health care organiser Academician Nikolay Aleksandrovich Semashko.
What makes this conference unique, is the possibility of interdisciplinary communication, immersion in a related speciality, which contributes to improving the skills of each specialist and in general strengthening the potential of health care in the Tula region and Russia, said, opening the ‘Tolstov Autumn’, the chief freelance specialist-therapist of the Ministry of Health of the Tula region Tatiana Alexandrovna Gomova.
- Treatment of patients has become more complicated now, one doctor cannot know all the nosologies, all the nuances of managing morbid patients,’ she said. - Therefore, our goal here is for both current doctors and students to discover something new, something that will help you in your future work.
The participants were also addressed by Alexandr Eduardovich Lomovtsev, Head of the Regional Department of Rospotrebnadzor, Chief State Sanitary Doctor for the Tula Region, and Denis Maratovich Ziganshin, Head of the Department of Departmental Control and Support of Activities. Roman Vladimirovich Grachyov, Director of TulSU Medical Institute, noted the exceptional importance of professional communication for future specialists.
- This year is a jubilee year for our institute, TulSU has been contributing to the staffing of health care in the Tula region for thirty years, - said Roman Vladimirovich. - The conference programme is so diverse and so professionally designed that everyone will find the topic, profile or section that will be most effective for them.
On the first day of the “Tolstoy Autumn” conference, specialists discussed topical issues of neurology and rehabilitation, paediatrics and neonatology, diagnostics and treatment of diseases of internal organs, infectious pathology and epidemiology. On 7 November there will be sections on dermatovenerology and cosmetology, laboratory diagnostics and medical microbiology, endocrinology and diabetology, obstetrics and gynaecology, surgery and gastroenterology.
