Within the framework of the project “The future of financial markets” from 28 October to 3 November, students from 35 universities of 26 regions are solving cases in the areas: Formation of the system of long-term savings of citizens”, “Development of the private investment industry”, “Cryptocurrencies and digital financial assets”. 66 mentors, representatives of the participating universities support students` teams.

On 31 October, a single foresight session was held for all project participants. During this session, students actively interacted with each other to discuss the vision of the future. 

In the course of their joint work, they identified the main trends and tendencies that will have a significant impact in the future. This allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics of change and set guidelines for future actions.

After analysing the priority trends, the participants, described in detail their vision of the world by 2035 taking into account the discussions,. This process will help to build a clear and informed picture of potential development scenarios. To further elaborate and refine these scenarios, they also compiled a list of questions addressed to experts, which will ensure the most comprehensive approach to exploring possible options for the future.

The Future of Financial Markets project is aimed at developing and implementing specific measures to develop the financial market of the Russian Federation. Its goal is to define the desired image of the Russian financial market by 2030-2035, to strengthen its role as a source of investment, to discuss measures necessary to double the capitalisation of the stock market by 2030, as well as to increase the profile theoretical and practical knowledge of students and general financial literacy of Foresight participants and viewers.
