Forensic Medicine Forum at Tula State University

Today, the Concert Hall of Tula State University became the venue for the All-Russian interdisciplinary practical forum with international participation "Forensic, criminalistic and engineering-technical aspects of combat and civil defense" in memory of V.S. Melnikov - a landmark event in the field of forensic medicine and civil defense in Russia.

Tula State University once again confirms its status as one of the leading scientific and educational centers of the country, bringing together the best specialists on its site - scientists, practitioners and managers from the field of forensic medicine, criminalistics, engineering and civil defense from several dozen regions of Russia and abroad.

The two-day forum is dedicated to the memory of the outstanding forensic examiner Viktor Sergeyevich Melnikov, who made an invaluable contribution to the development of forensic medical examination in Russia and whose work became an example of impeccable professionalism and leadership talent. The best experts from different regions of Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kirov, Tver, Perm, etc.) gathered within the walls of Tula State University, united by the task of exchanging advanced knowledge and developing new approaches to solving the most complex problems associated with emergency situations, mass graves and identification of the deceased.

Deputy Governor of the Tula Region Natalya Aleksandrovna Arkhipova addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of the forum in the current conditions and its focus on preserving the lives and health of citizens.

Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Tula Region, professor, honored doctor of Russia Yuriy Ivanovich Tskipuri drew the participants' attention to the importance of gaining new knowledge at any age and status, and wished them productive work, acquaintances and pleasant communication with colleagues.

Active participation of students and teachers of Tula State University in the forum is especially worth noting. Acting Director of the Medical Institute of Tula State University, Chief Physician of the Medical Clinical Center, Lieutenant Colonel of the Reserve Medical Service Roman Vladimirovich Grachyov presented the experience and achievements in the field of training forensic medicine specialists, emphasizing the importance of involving young scientists and university students.
