Tula State University and VEZA: The Laboratory as a Vector of Interaction

On the eve of Russian Science Day, a new educational laboratory was solemnly opened at the Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Tula State University.

The 140-seat auditorium is designed for lectures and labs, introductory practical training in the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning program, video conferencing for students majoring in Construction, and courses in Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Heating, and Heat, Gas, and Ventilation.

Equipping the laboratory with operational industrial equipment and a test bench was made possible by Tula State University's industrial partner, VEZA. VEZA is one of the largest manufacturers of ventilation and air conditioning systems in the Russian market and the only full-cycle company in Russia manufacturing refrigeration equipment, air and fire dampers, ventilation units, fans, and other climate control equipment.

The ceremony began with a beautiful and traditional ritual. The red ribbon was cut by Tula State University Rector Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko, Director of the Institute of Construction and Architecture Roman Anatolyevich Kovalyov, and Head of the Veza-Chekhov Separate Division Demir Emirbekovich Abdulmedzhidov.

"We're entering the new semester with a new laboratory!" Roman Anatolyevich announced solemnly, inviting everyone into the auditorium.

Among the participants in the celebration were not only faculty and students from the Institute of Construction and Architecture, but also foreign citizens studying at the Institute of International Education's pre-university programs.

"There are students here from two engineering and technology groups and a natural sciences group," said Olga Dmitriyevna Gladkova, Director of the Institute of International Education. "This is a significant event for all of them, as during their studies in the preparatory faculty, they already have the opportunity to become familiar with our university's teaching and laboratory facilities and gain an understanding of the educational process at the university."

Demir Emirbekovich Abdulmedzhidov gave Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko a tour of the laboratory and introduced him to the technical specifications of the equipment on display.

Roman Anatolyevich Kovalyov opened the official portion of the event.

He emphasized that the new laboratory will address issues related to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. All of these are important not only for energy conservation but also for health. A person's well-being and productivity depend on the comfort of their living and working conditions.

Dmitriy Andreyevich Platov, Head of the Regional Relations Department at VEZA, emphasized that their team is proud to be able to present their corporate equipment at Tula State University, where the descendants of the legendary Lefty are studying.

The speaker expressed confidence that consolidating efforts will allow the university and the company to advance their developments and contribute to ensuring our country's technological sovereignty.

The 140-seat laboratory, Dmitriy Andreyevich continued, was first established at Tula State University and it can be used not only by students but also by external users.

Roman Anatolyevich Kovalyov added that the laboratory will certainly contribute to the development of social partnerships, but the main beneficiaries remain the students - our future specialists.

Demir Emirbekovich Abdulmedzhidov expressed confidence that the laboratory established at the university will become a center for educational and research activities, and that the students will successfully apply the knowledge they gain there in practice.

Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko thanked the company representatives for the fruitful collaboration.

The Construction program, he said, is popular with prospective students. Upon graduation, students should have a thorough understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The new laboratory will give them the opportunity to implement interesting projects at a higher level.

The university's director emphasized that Tula State University has established a strong scientific school in the field of construction. Collaboration with the company will significantly expand the scope of its research.

The Tula State University Rector presented Certificates of Appreciation to Dmitriy Andreyevich Platov, Demir Emirbekovich Abdulmedzhidov, and Pavel Aleksandrovich Sokolov, Head of the Sales Department of the VEZA-Chekhov branch.

After the official ceremony, tea was served. Participants enjoyed a signature VEZA cake decorated with the Tula State University and company logos. The handshake depicted on the cake symbolized a reliable partnership and promising collaboration.
