Tula State University Contributes to the Promotion of Russian Language and Culture in China

Faculty of the Department of General Theoretical Disciplines and Russian as a Foreign Language at Tula State University have, for the second time, assisted the Rossotrudnichestvo office in China (Russian Cultural Center in Beijing) in organizing and hosting the 2-nd All-China Russian Language and Culture Competition "Golden Key" 2025.

Our teachers were actively working on the development of the assessment materials on Russian language and culture, assignments for the final round of the competition, and expert evaluation of the participants' entries.

"In my opinion, supporting the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing in holding this competition is crucial – it's a form of career guidance through cultural diplomacy and soft power. After all, we're entering China's rather closed information space, telling people about Tula State University, beautiful Tula, and our culturally interesting region, and demonstrate the highly qualified specialists working here," emphasized Olga Dmitriyevna Gladkova, Director of the Institute of International Education at Tula State University.

The substantial contribution of the flagship university's department was recognized in a letter of gratitude addressed to Rector Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko from Tatyana Borisovna Urzhumtseva, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in China.

We are proud of our faculty and their significant contribution to the popularization of the Russian language and culture abroad.
