A new generation of mining engineers
The graduation ceremony at the Institute of Construction and Architecture of Tula State University turned out to be homely and cozy.
22 graduates of the Mechanics of Materials and Geotechnology Department have become certified specialists. Five of them received red diplomas.
All the students were awarded the qualification of "Mining Engineer" and it sounds proud!
TulSU Rector Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko called this day important and exciting for graduates, the one they will remember for the rest of their lives. They became engineers and should honorably carry this title.
The head of the university wished the graduates that their work would please and bring satisfaction, be appreciated and rewarded.
Oleg Alexandrovich advised the graduates not to forget their alma mater and their teachers, who invested so much mental strength to grow them into real specialists.
This day, said Roman Anatolyevich Kovalyov, director of the Institute of Construction and Architecture, is the start of adulthood. Today it is impossible not to remember those who laid the foundations of mining in Russia. Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov, the first mining engineer in our country, stood at the origins. He paved the way for Russian mining scientists.
Roman Anatolyevich told the graduates about the origin of mining education in the Tula region, about the awarding of the Tula Mining Institute with the Red Banner, about the bright representatives of the Tula scientific school of miners, whose creative legacy became the basis for subsequent generations of researchers, and, of course, about famous graduates who glorified their university throughout our large country. Today's graduates, he stressed, should take up this baton and multiply good traditions with their work.
Our life, said Sergey Vladimirovich Antsiferov, head of the Mechanics of Materials and Geotechnology Department, resembles a book. Today, graduates have turned over one of its brightest pages and they have so many more pages ahead! They will definitely leave their worthy mark on them.
Many kind words addressed to the graduates came from Vladimir Adolfovich Klotz, Director of “Mikroshit” LLC, an industrial partner of the institute.
He particularly noted the level of graduation papers of the students, whose defenses he attended, and the sincere interest of the students in their chosen profession.
— May your knowledge be in demand! — Vladimir Adolfovich said, addressing the graduates. — And may your life be happy and eventful!
Mother of Andrey Shutov, one of the graduates, came to support her son on this solemn and exciting day. She thanked the teachers on behalf of all the parents for their hard work and sincere concern for the students. She wished the graduates good health, great achievements in life and fulfillment of their dreams.
The teachers also made it worth their while. Each of them found kind and heartfelt words for their children.
As you know, there are no former students. The Institute of Construction and Architecture knows this very well. Therefore, they are always waiting for their graduates in their native walls to support and be happy for them and the graduates felt it today.
Alexandra Yefimova was the head of the group. She graduated from the university with a red diploma. She is already working as a design engineer at Gazstroydetal JSC.
— Wonderful student years! I became friends with my classmates, volunteered, participated in creative festivals, CASE-IN championships. I've lived such an interesting life! — the graduate shared. — I am grateful to all my teachers for their knowledge, experience and excellent attitude towards us!
