TulSU Rector discussed the organization of space in the renovated dormitory with students

Rector of Tula State University Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko, together with representatives of the student trade union committee, visited the renovated dormitory, which was modernized under the federal program "800 universities".

The Presidential Program provides modern living conditions for students, making campus life comfortable and safe.

At the moment, the main renovation work of Dormitory 6/2 has been completed. Ahead is the connection of gas equipment and the fitting out with new furniture. The rooms have already been allocated, and the students are looking forward to checking in.

Oleg Aleksandrovich noted:

— The renovation was completed at a high level, it was carried out within the framework of the general concept of campus policy. TulSU's own funds and the federal program were used. Now it is important to take into account the opinion of students about the creation of additional areas — co-working spaces, leisure spaces.

During an inspection of the nine-storey building, Vice-rector for General Affairs Vladimir Ivanovich Grigoryev said that during the preparation for major repairs, it was decided to redevelop the rooms so that each of them had a bathroom with a shower, so that the kitchen space was more of a living room than a room for cooking. There is also now a laundry and drying area. Vladimir Ivanovich noted that the supply of furniture for rooms and kitchens should be completed in April.

The activists of the trade union organization liked the renovation, decoration and arrangement of recreational areas.

Yelizaveta Ivannikova, the leader of the primary trade union organization of TulSU students and postgraduates, said that:

— The guys who are going to live here also joined the inspection, so it turned out to look at the renovated dormitory not only from a managerial, but also from a student's point of view. It is already clear that the conditions have become really modern and comfortable. The hostel has been noticeably transformed, it has become not only cozy, but thoughtful and comfortable to live in. The issues of student accommodation are still among our priorities.

Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko then asked how they see the recreation areas. There is not much time left before settling into the hostel, and therefore he instructed to analyze and give suggestions on what else is needed for comfortable living and leisure.
