Tula State University Engineering Special Forces

On July 2, at the Shakhtyor Park Hotel, on the final day of the 14th International Youth Industrial Forum “Engineers of the Future”, Governor Dmitry Vyacheslavovich Milyaev, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Dmitry Vladimirovich Afanasyev, and Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade and First Vice President of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Gutenev presented diplomas with honors to 19 students - the first graduates of the master's program at Tula State University's Advanced Engineering School.

Governor Dmitry Vyacheslavovich Milyaev noted the importance of the Advanced Engineering School, created at Tula State University with the support of Rostech State Corporation and High Precision Systems JSC:

- Diploma with honors speaks to a student's determination and desire to move forward. This graduation is very important for each of you. I am confident that you have gained unique experience. The Advanced Engineering School is a fusion of science, research, management competencies, and practical challenges. During your studies, you not only studied science but also experienced it in practice, solving specific problems posed by our companies. Many of you are already employed or plan to find employment, and some will join the ranks of graduate students. Congratulations on completing your studies, and I wish you success in your future professional careers!”

Vladimir Vladimirovich Gutenev emphasized the importance of Tula State University's inclusion among the 50 universities hosting the Advanced Engineering School and wished the young engineers courage in achieving their ambitious goals.

Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Dmitry Vladimirovich Afanasyev noted that the main goal of the Advanced Engineering School is to train a true engineering special forces team capable of solving the most complex, even over-the-horizon, problems. He expressed hope that our students will become just such a team and wished them success in their new endeavors.

This celebratory chord concluded the work in the tent organized by the Tula Region Government, Tula State University, and the TulaTECH Scientific and Educational Center. As part of the forum's business and educational programs, specialists from Tula State University and the Composite Scientific and Technical Center conducted training on “Polymer Composites”. The program included theoretical and practical courses focused on developing modern production and research skills in design and manufacture of sports equipment (table tennis balls and rackets, basketballs) from thermoplastic and thermoset composite materials.

After mastering the technology, participants held competitions and used the sports equipment they had made. Upon completion of the course, they received certificates of advanced training from the hands of the head of regional branch of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia Vladimir Nikolayevich Filippov, the chairman of the Committee on Science and Innovation of the Tula Region Anton Valeryevich Pankratov and the rector of Tula State University Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko.

There were many pleasant moments during the forum. One of them was the awarding of the title “Miss Charming Smile” to Tula State University IMO student Tri Kimsorng.

The 14th International Youth Industrial Forum “Engineers of the Future” has concluded. Each participant took home new knowledge, new contacts, great impressions, and warm memories of the hospitable Tula region.
