Fireworks of New Year's Trees
The exhibition works from December 19 to January 13 in the building of the State Duma in Okhotny Ryad St.
The exhibition was opened by the Chairman of the State Duma Committee for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Leonid Ivanovich Kalashnikov.
Vladislav Aleksandrovich Tretiak, member of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, addressed all those present with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the increased importance of working with compatriots and spreading the ideas of the Russian world.
Elena Grigorievna Drapeko, State Duma member, Soviet and Russian film actress, in her speech greeted everyone present present on the upcoming New Year's Day and noted the need for patriotic education of the young generation of compatriots in foreign countries.
Skillful New Year's toys from compatriot children from all over the globe, a friendly atmosphere and New Year's music, as well as a festive treat in the form of ice cream for everyone present - all this contributed to creating a New Year's mood.
After the opening of the exhibition, the delegation of Institute of International Education went on a fascinating tour of the parliamentary quarter, visited a unique example of Russian architecture of the second half of the 17th century - the Chambers of the boyar Troekurov, the State Duma Museum.
– The day ended with a meeting of representatives of our institute with Elena Evgenievna Polyakova, consultant of the apparatus of the State Duma Committee on the Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, at which the prospects for cooperation were discussed, as well as the possibility of participation of students and employees of Institutute of International Education in socially significant historical, cultural and patriotic events planned by the Committee in 2023, summed up the director of the IMO Olga Dmitrievna Gladkova.
For the work on preserving the cultural codes of the peoples, Institute of International Education Director Olga Dmitrievna Gladkova and Deputy Director Tamara Dmitrievna Kartashova were awarded with the letters of thanks from the State Duma Committee for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots.
