In particular, he dwelled in detail on the implementation of projects at the federal level by the university. TSU won the mega-grant competition initiated by the government of the Tula region. The university received funding for a period of 5 years in the amount of 30 million rubles a year. Half of the amount is provided by the regional government, the other half is provided by Shchekinoazot JSC, which is an industrial partner of the university. Thanks to this victory, it became possible to create, together with the Kabardino-Balkarian State University, a laboratory for the technology of polymeric materials and composites. The university received funding as part of its participation in the project "World-class Scientific and Educational Center" TulaTECH ". One part of the funds, and this is 27 million rubles, went to purchase equipment, and the second part in the amount of 60 million rubles went to the creation of 4 youth laboratories. Speaking about educational activities, Oleg Aleksandrovich noted that, in general, the average USE scores enrolled last year on the full-time budget were higher. The university actively attracts potential students from other regions of the country. In 2022, a number of educational programs were opened at TSU, and two structural divisions - the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science and the Institute of Law and Management - switched to the formation of nuclear programs. At the expense of a grant from the government of the Tula region in the amount of 36 million rubles and the own funds of TSU, the Accreditation and Simulation Center of the University was re-equipped, as a result of which the number of stations increased from 35 to 72.

The university is successfully implementing three strategic projects: Advanced Weapons, BioChemTech and Composite. In 2022, modern equipment was purchased in the amount of 70 million rubles, 5 doctoral and 34 master's theses were defended. Great attention at the university is paid to teaching and educational work.

In this regard, the rector especially noted such events as the International School of History, the parade in honor of the Great Victory, the "Engineers of the Future" forum and the Congress of Young Historians. Has not reduced its performance and international activities. Due to Oleg Alexandrovich, director of the Institute of International Education, Olga Dmitrievna Gladkova, emphasized that this is a huge merit as a leader, who, together with her team, not only managed to maintain a contingent of foreign citizens, but also contributed to an increase in the number of those enrolled in full-time education. In order to develop human resources at the university, a targeted postgraduate program was formed. It currently has 24 students. The speaker touched upon a topic related to the reconstruction of the TSU campus. The rector said that a co-working space was created at the university, the overhaul of the roof and facade of the third educational building, which is of historical value, was completed, and the overhaul of hostels No. 6/1 and 6/2 began.
