TSU and Indonesia: areas of cooperation

On March 14, Rector of Tula State University Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko and Vice-Rector for International and Project Activities Olesya Evgenievna Labadze visited the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus and met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mr. Jose Antonio Morato Tavares.

The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation. During the conversation, Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko, in particular, noted that Tula State University, given the intensity of the friendly dialogue in Russian-Indonesian relations, prepared proposals for the development and strengthening of cooperation in the field of education, science and culture between the universities of the two countries. The rector of TSU told Mr. Ambassador about educational products that may be of interest both to Indonesian applicants and students, and to educational organizations in Indonesia. The university offers applicants a wide range of educational programs, including the program "Economics", the profile "Economics and foreign economic activity of organizations" (bachelor's degree) in English, postgraduate programs in a wide range of specialties and pre-university training programs in Russian as a foreign language lasting 6-10 months. As for students, Oleg Aleksandrovich emphasized that Summer and Winter Schools in Russian and/or English, the International Summer School of the Russian Language, History and Culture (for candidates from the Republic of Indonesia), as well as student programs can become an effective form of interaction exchange program in the "International Semester" format. It was noted that short-term scientific internships in university laboratories in English and joint research in the field of ecology and biotechnology could become an important area of cooperation between universities. “On behalf of the huge team of Tula State University, I express hope for the further fruitful development of friendly and mutually beneficial relations between the universities of our countries in the field of education, science and culture,” said Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko. The meeting participants discussed issues related to the implementation of the identified areas of cooperation.
