Promoted and got promoted
Two postgraduate students of Tula State University made it to the finals
of the All-Russian contest “Intern of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia”, and one of them won the business game “Personnel Laboratory” and can
enter the Ministry's personnel reserve.
The competition, aimed at finding and supporting promising young specialists for internships and inclusion in the personnel reserve of the
Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, was launched in 2023. More than five thousand students and university graduates have already taken an active
part in it.
2025 is the third season of the “Intern of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia” project, and the contestants were tasked with demonstrating their
readiness to develop their professional competences, practical skills, leadership qualities and volitional characteristics, as well as to make
competent and optimal managerial decisions.
The competition programme included a number of challenging stages, which consisted of a test task on knowledge of the Russian legislation on state civil
service, analysis and solution of a practical task based on a real problem situation, as well as preparation and presentation of a video portfolio.
As a result of the competitive selection, two representatives of TulSU
got into the hundred strongest from all over the country: Eduard Oganyan, a postgraduate student of the Department of Transport and Technological Machines
and Processes of the Polytechnic Institute, and Dmitry Balyabkin, a postgraduate student of the Department of Sociology and Political Science of the Institute of
Humanitarian Social Sciences.
Now thirty winners are to be selected, who will have the opportunity to undergo professional internship in one of the core departments and offices of
the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia in a paid internship position. Mentoring and methodological support of young specialists will be
provided by supervisors - winners of last year's competition season. The department believes that such a management model allows not only to
successfully ensure smooth integration of trainees into the professional environment, but also to create conditions for effective mastering of primary
skills and abilities for work in the shortest possible time.
The day before, on 14 and 15 March, a business game “Personnel Laboratory” was held in Moscow. The finalists divided into ten teams
participated in this game. They were given situational tasks by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, and they had to prove that they knew how to
work effectively in the field of science and higher education.
The participants were welcomed by Olga Viktorovna Petrova, Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, and Valentina Yuryevna Shalashnikova,
Director of the Ministry's Civil Service Department.
- It is not a secret that it is difficult to get a job in the state civil service, said O.V. Petrova. - It is a labour-intensive and long process.
On the other hand, my colleagues and I realise that we need active young specialists with burning eyes, whose goal is the desire to serve people. That is
why we initiated the project “Intern of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia”. We are looking for our dream employees who care and want to be
useful to society!
The team, of which Eduard Oganyan was a member, worked with the case “Increasing the number of countries covered by a marketing campaign to promote Russian
education abroad”. Dmitriy Balyabkin in his team solved the case “Creation of a programme for the development of advanced engineering schools on the basis of
universities in partnership with high-tech companies”. As a result, Eduard Oganyan's team became the best in this stage of the competition. Very soon the
Russian Ministry of Education and Science will announce the thirty winners of the project.
