Tula State University's Technology Accelerators Receive Federal Support
As part of the federal project "Technology" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" of the Russian Federation state program "Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation," the National Technology Initiative Platform held a federal competitive selection among universities in our country.
A total of 210 applications from higher education institutions were reviewed.
In 2026, our university will implement two acceleration programs: "Tula State University Technological Accelerator" and "Tula State University Technological Accelerator: Development Factory." They are focused on key markets of the National Technology Initiative, such as Aeronet, Autonet, Edunet, and Technet. They focus on projects in the fields of intelligent transportation and telecommunications systems, unmanned and autonomous technologies, artificial intelligence, trusted software, and digital and engineering solutions for education, all of which are in demand in industry and the economy.
The acceleration programs will enable students and young researchers from Tula State University to move from an idea to a marketable product. Participants will be able to formalize their project as a startup, assemble a team, create a prototype or MVP, test hypotheses, and prepare for market entry while still studying.
Winning the federal competitive selection guarantees Tula State University resource support for the development of acceleration programs: educational and project-based events, engaging experts and mentors, team support, and post-acceleration supervision of the best projects. "This will allow us to expand the scale of acceleration, improve the quality of project management, and increase the number of technological solutions ready for implementation and commercialization," emphasizes Nikita Burvikov, Head of Tula State University Startup Studio. "Furthermore, our university's victory in the competition certainly confirms the university's high level of project-based and entrepreneurial culture and its significant role in shaping the region's innovation ecosystem."
