TulSU determines the best graduate
On April 15, Tula State University hosts the final of the competition "The best graduate of TulSU - 2026".
It is organized annually by the Career Center of our university.
The competition is held as part of the University's Priority 2030 development program.
Traditionally, it includes two stages.
During the correspondence stage, the participants, who are representatives of all the institutes of our university, prepared their resumes and essays on the topic "Me and my career."
Students` works were evaluated by an expert commission, which included specialists from the TulSU Career Center; Rosselkhoznadzor, JSC; Smartek, LLC; Maximaster, LLC; Shchekinoazot, JSC; Gazprom Energoholding foundry technologies", LLC; Procter & Gamble, LLC; Haval Motor Manufacturing Rus, LLC; and state budgetary institution of the Tula region "Multifunctional center for the provision of state and municipal services."
21 contestants reached the final. It is these students who were fighting for the title of the best graduate of our university. They proved that they are bright, talented, active and creative people who are ready to solve non-standard tasks and set ambitious goals for themselves.
— I have a bachelor's degree with honors, and in the Master's degree programme I`m about to graduate with honors. I am already working as an occupational safety specialist at one of the training centers. I am engaged in the development of occupational risk assessment maps, the development and implementation of local labor protection regulations, and I also advise on electrical and industrial safety issues," said Polina Grechishkina, a second-year Master`s degree programme student in Technosphere Safety at the Institute of Construction and Architecture. — For me, participation in the competition "The best graduate of TulSU-2026" is a chance to prove myself as a professional to employers and an opportunity to talk about how the knowledge gained at the university has been useful to me in building a career.
Maria Petryaeva, a sixth-year student at the Medical Institute, to paraphrase a famous expression from a well-known film, can rightfully be called an activist, an athlete and simply a beautiful girl.
Masha is an excellent student, wins surgical Olympiads, oversees the urological department of the TulSU Surgical Club and is professionally engaged in swimming.
— I wanted to tell about myself, my achievements and future plans, — said the student. — I'm going to enroll in a residency in oncology. From the very first year of study, I'm going to work at the Tula Regional Clinical Oncology dispensary. I am sure that a real doctor should be an empathic, purposeful, responsible person who strives to improve the skills constantly.
Mikhail Chmelyov, a fourth-year student of the Mechatronics and Robotics department at the Polytechnic Institute, admitted that he decided to try his hand, and at the same time modestly brag about his achievements.
— I am the owner of the Rebel-art brand agency, I am engaged in branding the large companies, - he said. — I'm currently preparing my final qualifying thesis. I am developing a bionic prosthetic arm under the supervision of Tatiana Rudolfovna Kuznetsova, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Industrial Automation and Robotics. I try to keep up everywhere, both in my academic and professional activities.
Yulia Vyacheslavovna Frantsuzova, Director of the TulSU Career Center, opened the final stage.
- The "Best Graduate" contest is very popular among young people, and every time the participants do not cease to pleasantly surprise us with their deep, informative essays and memorable presentations. I am glad that the contestants approach their work creatively and strive to give their best," she said. - And today we all expect interesting presentations from the participants! Good luck to you guys! Know that you are the best!
The performances of the finalists were evaluated by an expert commission. It consisted of Daria Alexandrovna Grigorova, a leading human resources specialist at Gazprom Energoholding Foundry Technologies, LLC; Yelena Petrovna Polynkina, Head of Small and medium-sized businesses office at Rosselkhoznadzor, JSC; Oksana Vladimirovna Bashkova, Head of HR at Rosselkhoznadzor, JSC; Maxim Alexandrovich Korniyenko, Director of Maximaster, LLC; specialist in the Professional Guidance Department and the youth policy of Shchekinoazot, JSC Arsen Jozefovich Saakyan and the representative of Smartek, LLC Alexey Igorevich Sokolov.
In a way, they are not enviable. Still, choosing the best of the best is not an easy task.
