135 medical professionals are ready to begin their professional careers

On June 7, a graduation ceremony for graduates of the Medical Institute was held at Tula State University.

This year, the Institute trained 135 specialists in the General Medicine program, of these, 22 graduated with honors, and 43 completed targeted training. It's worth noting that the Institute of Medicine closely collaborates with regional medical institutions where the Institute's clinical departments are located on the training and internships of future specialists. Every year, the university's graduates join the staff of regional medical institutions.

Today, they are all in the spotlight. The graduates took their medical oath right on stage. Their parents, university representatives, and distinguished guests sat in the audience.

Vice Rector for Financial Affairs Andrey Andreyevich Malikov delivered a welcoming address on behalf of Tula State University Rector Oleg Aleksandrovich Kravchenko.

“Today, graduates of our Medical Institute complete their studies. Exams and internships are behind them, and work that preserves people's health and lives lies ahead. I wish you to become true doctors, to constantly learn, and to maintain your humanity. Good luck!” Andrey Andreyevich wished the graduates.

Following this, a former graduate of the Tula State University Medical Institute addressed the graduates, who knows firsthand the difficult yet noble path they have to go through. Tula Region Health Minister Sergei Igorevich Mukhin reminded the importance of the medical profession.

“A true doctor is not only ability to diagnose and prescribe treatment, but also the ability to listen to patients, empathize, and maintain a humane attitude in the most challenging situations. I am confident that, having gained solid knowledge and practical experience, you will carry out this noble mission with honor”, said Sergei Igorevich.

Alexey Aloisovich Erk, head of the Tula municipal district, addressed the young doctors. He defined the very essence of the medical profession.

“Maintain the highest respect for human life, be grateful and respectful to teachers, hone your skills, offer help and advice to colleagues, and develop the noble traditions of medicine... These are very important words that will acquire new meaning with each passing year. You can achieve any heights, but the most important thing is to always remain human.”

Parting words and congratulations on receiving the diploma at the ceremony were delivered by Yuriy Ivanovich Tskipuri, Chairman of the Tula Region Public Chamber, and the chief physicians of medical institutions in the Tula Region. Among them were Irina Vitalyevna Rublyovskaya, Chief Physician of the City Clinical Emergency Hospital named after D. Ya. Vanykin; Anna Aleksandrovna Savishcheva, Chief Physician of the Tula Regional Clinical Hospital; Vyacheslav Leonidovich Golubenko, Chief Physician of the Novomoskovsk City Clinical Hospital; Dmitry Anatolyevich Istomin, Chief Physician of the Tula Regional Clinical Oncology Dispensary; Dmitry Viktorovich Kharitonov, Chief Physician of the Tula Children's Regional Clinical Hospital; Margarita Aleksandrovna Tomaeva, Chief Physician of the City Clinical Hospital No. 2 of Tula named after E.G. Lazarev, Sergei Viktorovich Zhukov, head of the therapeutic department of the 39th separate guards medical detachment (airmobile) of the airborne troops, guards major of the medical service; captain Alla Pavlovna Shchelkunova, head of the psychological service group of the 51st guards parachute regiment, Mikhail Mikhailovich Fokin, head of the regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination.

They wholeheartedly wished the graduates a safe journey and assured them they would look forward to welcoming them to their institutions. It is no coincidence that Tula State University's Institute of Medicine is a training ground for healthcare professionals in the Tula Region.

At the end of the ceremony, the graduates themselves spoke. They thanked their parents, who always believed in their children, and their teachers, who taught them wisdom beyond what is written in textbooks.

“I love our teachers very much and am grateful for the knowledge they imparted to us. These four years have been incredibly fulfilling”, shared Milena Aboimova, a graduate of the Psychology program.

The ceremony concluded with congratulatory remarks from parents, who presented the graduates with bouquets of flowers and then took commemorative photos together.
